Brassworks has been reinvigorating the big band tradition to critical and popular acclaim, according to its members. The ensemble’s mission is to honour the traditions of this art form and at the same time place it in a unique context without offending too many patrons. The eight brass musicians accompanied by rhythm section that make up this Orillia-based group are driven by an innovative spirit and a desire to get out of the house.
